Meet Stephanie Bunn

Registered Social Worker

Hi, I’m Stephanie and I’m happy you're here! Connecting and supporting folks therapeutically is a cherished role that I hold with utmost care and respect. I value creating a warm, safe, and empathetic space where you feel heard and understood. Carefully exploring your thoughts, emotions, and challenges is fundamentally important to my person-centered approach in building a strong therapeutic foundation with you.

Together, we’ll work to develop new skills and set therapeutic goals that foster self-awareness and resilience. Drawing from various experiences, I work through a strengths-based and anti-oppressive lens to curate to your unique needs. I’m here to support you in navigating personal experiences and challenges as well as exploring the larger systems around you.

I am pursuing a health-focused Master of Social Work degree, with an expected completion date of October 2025. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Waterloo in addition to a Bachelor for Applied Science, with a major in Adult Development and a minor in Family & Child Studies from the University of Guelph. I am a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

Much like how I approach my practice, I cherish and foster connections outside of Calming Tree. I spend most of my time with my family and friends seeking out my next new favorite coffee beverage or hiking on our favourite local trails. In my spare time, you will find me curled up reading, finessing my chocolate chip cookie recipe, or tuning into my creative side where I play with various art mediums.
