Meet Dana Cressman

Registered Psychotherapist

Hello and welcome! I am Dana Cressman. I am so glad you have taken the first step to explore the supports available to you! It can be difficult to get a sense of what therapy might be like with each practitioner. If you are thinking of connecting with me, let me provide you with an idea of what you can expect. Through psychotherapy, you can expect to learn more about yourself and the connection between your emotions, behaviours, thoughts, and physical sensations. We will experiment with different ways of relating to your responses, based on your goals. I offer a space to be understood and supported as we explore life events and challenges through talk-therapy, personal stories, and creative expression.

I have supported clients in both private-practice and in-patient mental health care settings. While practicing as a psychotherapist, I have experience providing care for clients who request support with eating disorders/disordered eating, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, overwhelming emotions, grief and loss, and spiritually integrated therapy.

If spirituality is an important aspect of your journey, conversations around faith and spirituality are welcome. I come from the understanding that there are both life-giving and life-limiting aspects of a person’s spiritual and faith journey and I am open to exploring these with you.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a graduate of Martin Luther University College. I have earned a Master of Theology degree in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy. I completed my first Basic Unit as a Psychospiritual Therapist from the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care/Association canadienne de soins spirituels (CASC/ACSS). I am never far from a non-fiction book. I thrive in nature where I find inspiration for creativity. It is an absolute privilege to do this work.

I am looking forward to connecting with you, if and when you are ready.
